This project was for one of my photography classes at Southern CT State University. The assignment was to create a set of images that somehow “told a story.” I am an introvert and something of a loner. Time alone recharges my batteries and gives me the inner peace I need to live from day to day. Isolation or aloneness is something that I find to be inherent in photography as well. It’s you, your camera and everything else. Even surrounded by people, with a camera in hand you are set apart. You are the observer and everything and everyone around you is the subject. This may be one of the reasons photography appeals to me so much.
These images are taken in places where I often find that I am by myself. They are like mini self-portraits, me in my isolation.
